‘Label 4’ by Tessa van de Meerendonk

Inspiration
Tessa gets the inspiration of the Label4 prints always from nature. She looks to patterns on flowers, plants and birds. Tessa thinks that the shape – and colour combinations which occur are fascinating and often uses them to create her own colourful prints.

Design
Tessa trusts her intuition with the colour and tries a print in many different colour combinations before she makes a final decision which combination is the best for her design. When Tessa has come to a decision which 4 prints are going to form a new series, she test-prints them on paper.  This way she can test it in true size and alter a few things before she orders a test-print at House of U.
